Introduction:

This Industrial Training Institute was started during 1965 with various engineering and Non- engineering trades to raise the quality and quantity of production by the systematic training of craftsmen and thus help the industry as well as unemployed.

At present this institute as been up-graded into center of excellence (COE) in electrical sector since 2005-06 with existing craftsmen Training scheme and also modular Employable skills (MES) which is recently implemented.

The objects of the scheme are 

1) To ensure a steady flow of skilled workers in different trades for the industry. 

2) To raise the quality and quantity of industrial production by systematic training of workers, and 
3) To reduce unemployment among the educated youth by equipping them for suitable industrial employment.

History of the Institute

This institute campus spread over 13 Acers, 20 Gunta of land. For outgoing trainees this place is convenient to search the jobs        in the major cities. Like Hyderabad, Bangalore, Pune, Mumbai easily.

College Campus out look
The workshop of laboratories is well equipped with various kinds of machineries’ and   equipment. The institute is capable of imparting effective training as it presents audio visuals aids, Over head projector, LCD projector and good Library which is useful to both trainees and Trainer. Initially this institute was started with few trades. Approximately 100 trainees. Now the total trades including NCVT & SCVT 18 Trades are there. This Institute has been upgraded under COE. Now a day this institute is functioning total of trades consisting 18 units and imparting training to about 1000 trainees.

1)To provide excellent infrastructure in terms of faculty, labs and other facilities curricular and extracurricular activities. 
2) To provide the best work culture and academic ambience with avenues for all loud personality development of the trainees.

Academic
a)   Admission criteria:

The Academic year commences form 1st August every year.  Notification inviting application for admission will be published in the leading newspapers of the State normally in the month of May every year. Application forms and other details may be obtained from Principals of all the ITI’s.  Eligible candidates are called for counseling and on the spot admission is made based on merit cum reservation. (like CET pattern).

Class Room
Seats are reserved for various categories  like GM, SC, ST, Category-I , IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB and  horizontal reservation is followed for 5% of those who are studying in Kannada Medium Ist to 10th Standard, physically Handicapped and Ex-Servicemen as per existing Government orders.  Besides, Additional SC candidates equal to 20% of the intake capacity are also admitted in each ITI under the Special Component Plan (SCP).

    i complete my training as a DRAUGHTSMAN MECH, in this institute in the year of 1985 - 1987. my instructor was Mr. RUKKAPPA BALI. i cannot forget the great instructor.
